CAUTION: Unless you have extensive knowledge about the M1, and the gauges to check them out, be very careful about buying M1's from individuals or at gun shows, unless you get the address & phone number of the seller and make him give you a guarantee that the rifle works properly. I and other dealers have gotten M1's to repair that had bad barrels, worn out gas cylinders & op rods, re-welded receivers that did not function, barrels that did not head-space, & a host of other problems. Your best bet is to buy it from a reputable dealer who will stand behind his product.

**SPECIAL NOTICE** We have received reports that someone posted a report on one of the forums that I sold a person an M1 with a used stock set when I advertised that the stock sets were new. This is not true. I am always careful to deliver what I advertise. I sold some bargain basement M1's with slightly worn barrels & used stock sets at a bargain price, and this person bought one and did not like the stock set he received. As I did not have anything better, I offered him a brand new commercial stock set for the difference in cost and he declined to pay the extra. The offer still holds. If he contacts me, I will replace the stock and hand guards with new ones for the difference in cost.
*I have heard reports that some lake city ammo removed from machine gun belts may not have enough gas pressure to activate the m1 semi auto gras system. If your system fails to cycle, try some Greek ammo to see if there is any improvement.
*Criterion Barrels are made by the Criterion Barrel Division of Kreiger Barrels, Inc, by the button reaming process, out of 4145 chrome-moly steel and are, in my opinion, the best barrels in their price range. These are sold by the company. Their parent company, Kreiger Barrels, in my opinion, makes the best barrels in the world.
*Many people call me and ask if my M1's have "matching numbers". M1 Garands DO NOT have "matching numbers", they have "correct numbers". European firearms have "matching numbers", in that each piece is individually made and has the serial number of the firearm engraved on each part. American military weapons are made so that each part is interchangeable and has its own part number called the drawing number, based on the number used on the blueprint drawings.

- Muzzle should be free of nicks & burrs
- The gas cylinder should fit tight on the barrel
- The gas port should be centered in the window inside the cylinder
- The front handguard should be slightly loose
- The lower band should be tight.
- The rear handguard should be tight
- The op rod should not bind
- Check rear sight aperture for tightness
- Trigger group should lock up tight.
- All Receivers Are USGI

- To Order an M1 from outside New Jersey, you must go to a local dealer & have him fax or send me his Federal Firearms License (FFL), and I will ship the firearm to him, and he can transfer it. M1 Garands are C&R eligible.
- All M1 Garands sold by me are CERTIFIED to be completely rebuilt, in excellent working condition. All M1's are stripped down to its components, bolts & trigger groups broken down, sights removed. All metal is then reparked and gas cylinder reblued. all parts have been gauged & passed, including index, head-space, timing, throat erosion, muzzle, barrel straightness, firing pin protrusion, gas cylinder & op rod piston wear.
